Abstract

Apocrine hydrocystoma is a benign cystic tumor that arises from the apocrine sweat glands. Its most frequent location occurs at the eyelid where it is also known as Moll's cyst. It is usually described as a dome-shaped, translucent nodular lesion, with variable coloration and size, which can make difficult differential diagnosis. A review is made of the most important clinical characteristics of apocrine hydrocystoma and its differentiation from other similar eyelid lesions.
